Colts put Franchise Tag on Peyton Manning
The Indianapolis Colts Peyton Manning is on his way to becoming the highest paid player in the NFL. A long-term deal is currently in the works between the two sides, but Peyton is subject to make $23 million next season with this tag. Obviously the money is worth it as he's been arguably the top player in the NFL for quite a few years now, he's been voted MVP four times with one Super Bowl win under his belt, but this new contract is upwards of Tom Brady's six-year $60 million contract from last year. No wonder the team owners want more money in the new CBA.
